The odds were stacked against her, but this ‘entrepreneur in making’ had already decided to script her own success story and won’t stop at any cost, this is how it started:
In Garhi Malehara, a small town near Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh, a girl named Aditi Chaurasia was born. A rebel at heart since her early days, she opted for an English medium Co-Ed school even if it came with a wave of resentment and criticism from relatives and neighbors alike. After finishing school, Aditi tried her luck in medicine, but luck didn’t favor her and she lagged behind by a small margin.

Dreams Taking Shape

With the dawn of 2009 things started looking up for Aditi. She met her then friend, now a business partner and soon to be life partner Mayank. Mayank encouraged her to follow her heart and pursue her entrepreneurial dreams and soon began her first venture – Titliyan Creation, a handmade cards portal.
Unfortunately, despite the tremendous success of her first project she had to give it up when it was at its peak. Success was kissing her feet, yet Aditi had to shut down Titliyan Creation due to certain personal reasons and the butterfly withered back to her cocoon.
Reminiscing about that difficult phase Aditi said,
“I encountered the typical Indian mentality of our society. If I was not doing a job or getting married then my life was not on the right path.”

Saying NO to NO

Feeling stonewalled, Aditi succumbed to the societal pressure. In the days that followed Aditi juggled between jobs yet, her heart was set on the much-coveted entrepreneurial path. The teaching gig she undertook became a source of constant dissatisfaction and dejection. She knew she had to do something, as giving up wasn’t an option for this fearless rebel.
With Mayank’s technical skills and support by her side, she decided it was time to charterer unexplored territories and thus the dynamic-duo conceptualized ‘EngineerBabu’. EngineerBabu is an IT services company that develops websites and mobile applications.
EngineerBabu Homepage
In the early days of EngineerBabu Aditi kept her work under wraps. However, soon the company launched by 2 founders blossomed into a team of 50. Aditi’s name echoed in renowned platforms including but not limited to Rajasthan Startup Fest, Startup Conclave (Nepal), Women Tech Makers by Google. She was written about in popular online as well as offline portals like The Cosmopolitan, Asian Entrepreneur and many more.
Amidst all the success and fame she still longed for support from her near & dear one’s. The newspapers were talking about her accomplishments and she was presented the Leadership award of excellence By DAVV University. As luck would have it her parents saw an article in a popular magazine featuring their daughter. The conservative mindset was challenged and they began to realize that their daughter was spirited, fearless and above all a SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEUR.

Words of Encouragement for Budding Women Entrepreneurs

With their brainchild EngineerBabu thriving, Aditi is often asked for her opinion on entrepreneurship and the disparity it entails. On this delicate subject, this is her answer –
“If a woman decides to pursue something different then she is judged. As women, we are expected to get married, have children and look after the household. Our wings are cut at every step. I encourage women to stand up for themselves in every aspect of life. The society needs to accept that a woman can succeed in any field of work. When the world changes its outlook towards women, I’ll call it the best day of my life.”

– said Aditi.

From medicine to MBA she shuffled through many streams, but in the end, she listened to her heart and today she’s counted amongst the top 100 women entrepreneurs and top 25 Women Influencer by popular online platforms. To steer women towards a career in technology Aditi has come up with another remarkable venture called SheConnect that trains and encourages women through workshops and training sessions in IT and tech domain.
Aditi’s road to success wasn’t a runaway victory. She moved forward with gumption and gusto and defied all odds to realize her dreams. Her advice to budding women entrepreneurs is “Be persistent and remember you can achieve any goal with perseverance and tenacity.”
Ellen J. Barrier’s famous quote – “Her power of perseverance is as that of an eagle. She soars above her challengers.” rings true when we see it through the eyes of entrepreneur extraordinaire – Aditi Chaurasia.
Also, if you are from Indore, that’s where SHEROES will be hosting its first Summit to celebrate #takecharge women and the joys attached to taking charge.

Life is beautiful but if you want to know how to f**k yourself be an “Entrepreneur.”

Entrepreneurship brings plethora of challenges to you. It reminds me of the dialogue from TVF’s ‘Pitchers‘- “Tu Beer Nahi Bisleri Hai BC!”

Recently I met Ritesh Malik, Founder of Innov8 (Beautiful coworking space in India). He shared a great story, I am sure that is going to change your life.

1. Bisleri vs. Coke :

Take an example; There are two trucks one is loaded with Bisleri and another one with Coke bottles. Then truck sets on a voyage of hundreds of kilometer to take the bottle to there destinations. After hours of tumultuous journey, when you stop the truck and check the bottles what will you see?

Bisleri: Calm and peaceful, you can just open the cap and drink it.
Coke: Gases trying to ooze out and about to bust the bottles.

What we have learned from this, life is like this tumultuous road. You can’t set your roads, you can only choose a destination. At times roads are good and next moment bad., but we all have a choice of how to act or react.

Bisleri people enjoy pleasure and pain, and they keep themselves calm. When you are an entrepreneur most of the times, you are going to fuckup with so many problems but how to handle them will define your destiny and success.

Coke people are filled with ego, and they burst when something terrible happens. They have the tendency to react with the power they have rather than acting.

2. What is the basic problem?

You know the reason for all problem; PEOPLE.
You know the solution to all the problem; PEOPLE

3. Your network is not your net-worth

It’s wrong. You, your knowledge, your capability to help your network is your worth. If you are useless, unskilled your network can’t help you grow. No matter your daddy is Bollywood King, as Mr. Jr Bachhan hardly get any movies. Since then, I started investing time in myself, my knowledge rather than focusing on my network.

4. Be the best, for finding 1 diamond people dig tons of coal.

We are surrounded by people, we can right to choose the right client, right employee, right co-founder, right mentor, right investor. If we have the right people around us, they will pull you out of a challenging situation.
But when you made the wrong choice these people will f**k your life.

5. How to take the first step

Whatever we see around us is being created by humans. Essentially we have first manifested all this in our mind, then the creation in real life.
The same thing goes with relations and life’s situations. If we understand basic how to create the right thoughts inside our mind, we can avoid a lot many troubles. If we don’t understand and learn this, it leads to an accidental life without any control.

6. Final Steps

Most of us know Yoga or morning walk is good for health but how many of us seriously do; So thinking about something is good but doing it, in reality, is altogether is a different ball game.

  1. Don’t plan your day, plan your night so that you know what to do the next day.
  2. Remove unnecessary apps, most of the successful people are not even on facebook.
  3. We all have the right people connected to us over social media, take time and meet. Everyone share good things over social media, when you meet them in person, you will know how they got fucked and how they saved their ass.
  4. You always need right people around, choose carefully, once chosen help them, trust them. Give them the freedom to take a decision, they may fail, tell them you are there don’t worry!
  5. Stay away from negativity and negative people. They are a dead rat, they always smell bad even in Leela Palace.
  6. Don’t start anything new, if you start to make sure you finish.
  7. Take a step daily, you can’t become Sachin Tendulkar in one day.
  8. Your body needs exercise, healthy food. Your mind needs inspiration, your heart needs gratitude and care. Do it daily.
  9. Don’t take silence for rejection! It is not the handsome guy that gets the girl, but the most persistent one.
  10. The best way to get more customers around your product or services is to be used again, and again, and again, and again

Life is not beautiful, it’s what we make it.

A few decades ago, there was a time when women meant to be in kitchens or doing the household chores, managing the home and kids and leading a properly balanced life with kids and family.
But, when we are talking about today’s women, they are on spree. They are going places.
Women are taking the world by them and ruling different sectors of business in a fascinating way possible.
Times have changed. The women which were found cooking a perfect dinner, appreciated and remembered for the taste they put into their foods are now appreciated for cracking business deals and strategizing perfect plots for a business empire to run.

The journey of evolution i.e. from Kitchens to Companies is amusing and trust me you have no idea about it. Entrepreneur wives are a perfect example of caring meets daring.
The point which I will be trying to make today won’t be based on the burning topics of Women Empowerment, but rather on the positive edge of how women have indulged and successfully molded themselves into the hush-and-bush of the Corporate world.
I will be writing about my experiences -why women are equally great at business.
While the world’s one-third of the women entrepreneurs are leading the world by leadership lessons and setting an example for the “Gen-next”, it’s very important to know that what makes this puzzling fact more explanatory.
Today, women occupy just 4% of CEO spots at Fortune 500 companies, and fewer than one in five corporate board seats is held by a woman.

Kitchen Queens turning into Management Gurus!

They are the best management gurus in the world: There is no argument to be made in this statement.
Because the best example of a management lies right inside our homes- MOTHERS.
No matter, what the situation is, she always comes up with the solution. She keeps the track record of each and every resource utilised in our home.
Groceries to Veggies- Women are a hardcore analyst. Management is incomplete without adding that personal touch to it. A woman is an epitome of love, empathy, and best problem solver.
Never underestimate the gut feeling or intuition of a woman.

Best at HR (House/human resource) management:

If she can manage a staff of 45 she can easily manage a family. If she can understand and manage 45 different minds then trust me family is an easy game to play.
Her vision is broad. She is an Ace recruiter, securing your family’s future would be a mere task for her. A woman knows the importance of love and care which a family must be nurtured under.

Dairy Bills to daily Bills:

Finances: A woman if can deal with the badass number of transactions in her company, can’t she cope up with a family finances? Don’t you think, it would be an understatement if we doubt a woman who deals with a thousand-dollar business?

A better emotional backbone:

A woman which confides both business and personal care is a great combination in itself. Sharing the best and worst experiences, leading her through your achievements and failure, she’ll always be at your back. She’ll always be the one to count on. She has seen both the sides of the coin, will be a better person to understand you rather than judging you.

Wonder women in the business suit:

A solid workplace balance: A company cannot work until and unless it has got the balances right. If there is some or the other element missing or say too much or too less, it’s going to crumble down.
She is the one who manages the homely affairs, may it be sending kids to school, attending the kids’ annual day function.
And she can be that same badass persona who cracks the deals in the boardroom. She knows that very element that is required to balance these 2 totally different equations.
She’ll be able to add the coefficients in the exact number into her workplace and personal life equation.
Right from empowering teams, playing on the front foot, aligning and managing the roles both as-a-spouse and a businesswoman, keeping up with the expectations of both family and business requires a hell lot of patience, power, and guts.
And all these qualities make her no less than a real-life “Wonder Woman”.
Women can significantly contribute to any workforce: Women have the abilities to handle the critical aspects of any decisions in a workplace.
So, when she can handle a deal worth millions, dare not judge her poorly when it comes to handling a business empire as a whole. A woman’s intuition can drive that balance and lead a greater impact on local, national and global levels of economies. She has that perception required to sustain it.
Being the only female co-founder of my company Aditi Chaurasia is often encountered with this question in possibly every interview or talks that “Are you guys married?”.
Even I have been encountered with the same question on various occasions. So, basically marrying a woman businessman won’t shatter your male ego.
In fact, she’ll be the one who’ll understand both personal and professional aspects of your life.
She’ll not only encourage you to deal with your failure but will be happy to be a part of your journey.
Merely giving a talk and sharing views regarding women empowerment or debating topics like “Men and Women are equal” is not enough.
I have seen a number of guys giving such big-shot talks when in public but when it comes to a question of marrying one, he is shattered by the idea itself.
No wife in the world will ever judge you, no matter how good or bad you are in your life.
Because she has been under that hood and knows what it feels to be like under one.
Down the line, man must prefer marrying to a woman entrepreneur because she is both caring and daring in every sense possible.

At 6 in the morning, a guy was walking while talking over the headphone. If you pass by, you can easily hear him narrating his idea to a mentor or the client abroad, or mentioning a friend. He might not even notice you passing by.
For others he was on a morning walk, for better health but for him he is grabbing extra hours for better health of his startup.
It is 9 in the morning, she is standing on the balcony, all lost in thoughts. She took off from work as she isn’t fine, the very next moment she called someone and started explaining her new designs and rushed to office.

It seems quite normal from outside, it’s just another day in the life of a human being but when it comes to an entrepreneur it is a day to make something big again.
In his life, every day is “Go Big or Go Home”. Go home is certainly not the choice because whatever he/she is doing today, is being earned after long fights with almost everyone and everything.
A fight with the routine, settled and risk-free career; a fight with a monthly fixed salary and planning weekends with friends; a fight with the family to live the life of dream; a fight to stood up after each and every failure, a fight with own motivation after failure; a fight for being a boss and stand strong in all situation.
An entrepreneur becomes an entrepreneur after countless fights every day. He is being judged by almost everyone around him.

Situations around him are always like pizza with extra cheese. When business is down, he can’t think of his own money, he has to arrange salary for the entire team.
When something goes wrong, he has to take the full responsibility for his team member’s mistake. When an employee is sick, they can take off but when he/she is sick, he takes medicines and rushes to the office.
It is just another day in the life of an entrepreneur. From being judged to being ridiculed for coming up with something new.
Entrepreneurs need to prove themselves right every now and then to a lot of people around them.
At times they have been mocked for their idea of changing the world. They have undeclared accountability to their customers, employees, investors, society, family, friends, government and if he/she is left with some more energy, compliances are there to suck it up.
He is a leader first then a human being.
Yes, an entrepreneur is different, we all need to agree. He has something which makes him a fighter, leader and a person with living dream having the vision to change the world.
Life Of An Entrepreneur

Five qualities of entrepreneurs:

1. Fighter:
An entrepreneur fights every day, every second. He fights with his own fear of losing some day and with the situations around.
Every day has new challenges and he has to stand strong, fight and has to win anyways. Because this world is still a long way to go to accepts failures. He needs to fight no matter what.

2. Leader:

Yeah, it is your choice to startup. You have to be a leader and lead like a champ in all the tough times.
If he earns, it’s coz of the team, and if he loses, he is responsible. He doesn’t have this choice, to skip being a leader and enjoy the life of luxury.

3. Visionary:

Wherever, he is born small place or big cities, whatever be the age, he/she always dared to dream big.
To bring the change in the lives is always on the mind. Highly educated or not, they always have the right ingredients to implement their ideas with the limited available resources.

4. Weird:

It may sound weird, but that’s 200% true. An entrepreneur is weird in all the possible ways.
From thinking out of the box to a sudden road trip alone. Least satisfied with their performance, least concerned about their health, at times highly motivated, next moment all time low.
Their only spouse in life is their “Startup”, married or not and their spouses have to deal with it.

5. Passionate:

An entrepreneur has passion in everything. At times passionate leader, at times passionate loser.
Their passion makes them everything from writer to actor, from being a boss to a peon, their Sundays are especially working. Because of their passion, the world is a much better place now.
Tweet: A Day In The Life Of An Entrepreneur Will Make You Respect Their Hustle http://bit.ly/2tHp06x @engineerbabuinc
It is because of these weird creatures on earth, our everyday life is better and easier. It is because of the lost morning walker we have traveled a long journey to be better connected with everyone.
Despite own selfish life, an entrepreneur chooses to be a leader at an age when others might be planning their marriage and honeymoon. From skipping meals to skipping family gathering, what’s all he/she misses chasing the Go Big passion.
The same way world has got Facebook, WhatsApp, Apple and the same way we are building EngineerBabu.
The same way many of you hustling day and night to stand out and make things better by your startup. The same way we all are living a day somewhat different.
At times you may find them in events to pitch their idea. Sometimes they can be seen in some bar spilling frustration.
But when you meet them in office, you find them dedicated and working endlessly for that one goal.
A having closer look in the life of an entrepreneur, you will find a respect-seeker and friend for you to understand him. That’s all he wants in return.
Their morning may start from watching motivational videos, night may end by writing self-motivation blog.
Just another day in the life of an entrepreneur is a bit different.

6 Important things for a Successful Product Development

Companies having a focused approach, function better financially. To make both ends meet, I make customer satisfaction my topmost priority because it is his acceptance that will help in furnishing an outstanding product. The knack of this trade lies in the critical ability in finding out what the user really wants. Developing a product which is user-friendly does half the work.

I keep the distance from giving a bulk of options to the client since web developing shares the drawback of shopping. As you get confused after seeing some options to choose from, so does the client. Henceforth, I make a user experience the nucleus of my interest to fulfill his expectations.

You too can strive to provide refine work by following these easy tips:-

1. Ease of use may be invisible, but its absence sure isn’t-

Someone asked me, “Why UI and UX are important?” I questioned, “Why boys follow pretty girls in college?” This exactly summarises the importance of UI and UX. Boys linger after girls who are comparatively prettier than the rest. Don’t take me wrong; I’m not a racist. I truly believe in inner beauty. But honestly, we end up judging a book by its cover. That is the first thing that drives us to pick up that book in first place and start flipping through its pages. So the visual impact created by the website is most important. How viewers get surrealistic images while easily browsing through the web pages matter. A picture can speak a thousand words while staying mum at the same time. User interface and user experience have the capability to make or break your creation. The visuals should create such an impact on the eyes of the beholder that he gets lost in its beauty and even recommend your work to others.

2. Clients may not tell you what they want, but they can always tell you what’s wrong-

Sounds like being a hypocrite, right? This confusion arises solely due to lack of communication. When we can be so expressive in confiding with our loved ones, why can’t we clear things face-to-face with clients too? My point is that we should be verbal and professional while dealing with clients instead of giving them the leverage to question my work. Overseas clients may often be heard grumbling about dissatisfactory work done by Indians, but perhaps it has got nothing to do with labeling a particular country’s workforce inadequate. We need to make efforts to communicate mutual needs with transparency. Allocating work to a suitable person too helps to fight such ugly situations.

3. The task of a leader is to get his people from where they are to where they have not been-

This quote by Henry A Kissinger sheds light on the work of a true leader who knows his team in and out. He can identify their qualities, expertise or flaws and then try to churn out the best from available resources by delegating work equally. I use this technique to analyze the potential and demerits of my employees and distribute work accordingly to get quality output.
If I know someone is good at developing a gaming application, I will give him a similar project instead of trying to pile him with the headache of designing a music application. This will not only spare us both from disagreements but also give him the confidence and scope of creativity to make the best use of his talent. It is important that the employee master a particular domain to deliver fine work.

4. How we spend our time defines who we are-

How often do we get chided for late work? But still, we continue to procrastinate. We often tend to ignore the fact that such practice bears direct consequences on our relations with the client. He might have expected us to complete the project in a given time limit. The moment we skip that deadline and make excuses to cover it up, we are disregarding work ethics at the cost of the company image. Clients value companies who stay true to their word. So it is better to decide a finite period and clarify with the prospect. Set a minimum and maximum time frame you’ll take to deliver work and most importantly keep your word.

5. We build too many walls and not enough bridges-

I often hear clients complaining about the developer’s inefficiency while the developer complaints about clients making too many changes. Such a deadlock situation arises when the two parties do not set ground rules before proceeding. To avoid this state, I meet my clients along with the designated developer before we tread on a new path. It is then that we set a framework, discuss the most intricate details about each and every tab. This way I don’t need to be in a position where we have to make further changes after the product is ready. It is up to us either to raise walls or build bridges. We unnecessarily invite untoward situations and then indulge in blame game. Let’s not get into such a practice again, make things simpler and deliver work effectively.

6. Knowing the answers help in school while knowing how to question will help in life-

Warren Berger unleashes the power of questioning the right way. Raising an impactful team is like raising a baby. You have to nurture employees with care and affection. They should be given the liberty to ask questions otherwise their growth would be hampered. I set-up a base camp and let employees find their way through remote lanes to enable them to solve even nerve-racking issues. When kids ask weirdest of questions, parents are bound to answer. So be a parent to your ever growing developer. Most companies do not establish a link between employees and client as they fear the developer would start taking up work directly from the client. We work contrary to this notion by engaging the two so that the developer has a thorough understanding of the client’s need. Involving developers in the association makes them feel valued and let’s not forget they are an asset to your firm.

Your network is your net-worth.

A networking event is a perfect chance to learn from eminent personalities and foster a good relationship with them. They should not only be looked at as a source of generating revenue for your company. Maintaining congenial relations, making the other remember you among hundreds and standing alone from the crowd counts in the long run.

Are you done with clicking selfies with Speaker? And counting likes on Facebook.
Have you collected more than 4000 cards in events and still didn’t get a single business?

I am going to share step by step guide how we made $53,000 from One event.

Do not be hasty in accepting RSVP to the next event that props up. Make sure if it is the right thing to build your network. Your aim should be to work on potential clients. You need to indulge in value-driven strategizing to get a favorable outcome.

Do a groundwork before attending any workshop, seminar or networking event. I make a list of prospective clients who are going to participate in an event. I connect with these people through a social network or email and welcome them even before attending the event. This really helps me to personalize more with my prospects in the event and get more business leads.

Networking events offer an end number of potentially fruitful interactions. The investment of time and money can bear an important outcome in the future.

An amazing Guide for growing your Network

1. IDENTIFYING THE RIGHT BUSINESS PROSPECT
Do not waste time in attending seminars that have no connection with your trade. Like I only accept events where I can find my favorable clients.
A good way to go about it is to use social media, relevant hashtags and tweets to understand who all are attending the upcoming seminar.

Accordingly, send them an e-mail fixing up a meeting.
Email: Let’s explore India together
Hi John,
I welcome you in India, I am also coming to that event, I need your 10 min time to have a coffee together and expecting to know more about you, your company and your country.
If you free and want to explore India, share your travel plan, I would be happy to help.
Your Friend Mayank
This is crucial since you need to figure out the right kind of people who can help you in generating business.

2. DOING THOROUGH BACKGROUND ANALYSIS
You will always cherish the time spend in background research because it forms the foundation of your impending meet.
If there is a particular person on the guest list, you’ve meaning to engage with, do in-depth research about him because this comes in handy at the hour of need.
Scavenge their social media profiles, keep their interests and hobbies on your fingertips and learn what intrigues them most. This includes knowing about their favorite movie, novel, actor or cuisine.
I use https://charlieapp.com/ for meeting research.

Charlie App

Such background knowledge provides a good fodder to kick start a conversation without being clueless about the other. This will help in laying down a common ground where you can have a two-way conversation without having to get bored. The common topic can prolong your discussion and predispose the prospective client in your favor. The idea is to keep their interest before yours.

3. ACTING AS A MEDIATOR
It is imperative that your focus is to build connections but in addition to this, try to be a mediator yourself. Look for people who require some sort of help from the speaker. You can then swoop in and introduce the two parties.

When some popular panelist is the keynote speaker, The audience often wants to capture moments with them. But instead of bridging the gap between people and speaker, you start taking pictures with the artist. A better way to develop friendly relations is to do exactly the opposite. Take pictures of your prospects with the speaker. This gives you a common topic of discussion to engage in future.
It is an easy way to exchange contact number. You can send them their pictures after the seminar gets over.

networking-event

This will not only put a smile on their face but also develop an inclination towards working with your firm.

4. KNOWING THE ESSENTIALS
You cannot be a know it all, but strive to familiarise a few more people other than the guests. Well, sponsors can be good for starters. The theory of researching and finding out similarities applies here too. Who knows a pep talk may turn into a deal?

The correct way to freeze such a deal is to leave your mark in minimum time. Sponsors won’t have all the time in the world to have a long discussion. So, it is important to leave an everlasting impression on their minds in whatever limited time you’ve got.

5. Show Sincerity and Interest

Have a few good questions in your back pocket. Asking the other person about her background and work will show her that you’re interested in more than just your own job opportunities. The best questions are ones that can’t be answered by just “yes” or “no,” such as:

  • How do you like working for your company?
  • What’s your primary role at your company?
  • What projects are you working on right now?
  • How did you get involved in your field?

6. BEING A GOOD LISTENER
In following the mad pursuit to get assignments, you often go on talking about your own firm. This is considered malpractice. How you make others feel is more important. Instead of blabbering about yourself, take a time to appreciate their success story.

Abstain from being carried away in marketing your product. Your genuine interest in knowing their side of the story by asking relevant questions is crucial at this instance. It is always better to occupy yourself with few people leading to a meaningful conversation. Always strive for quality, not quantity.

7. FOLLOWING UP
Around 70% of clients procure business if you take a follow-up. This doesn’t mean you go on stalking them day and night. Take your time and make an honest approach. If they are impressed by your concept, they will surely take the deal forward.

All you need to do is make efforts and keep in touch with those whom you feel you were able to establish a purposeful bond.

Why-Follow-Up

8. USING THE POWER OF SOCIAL MEDIA
Connect with people whom you met at the conference online and share your personal experience of having met them. You can make an acquaintance feel valued by writing a blog on what life lessons you learned from him.
People make social media sound clichéd. However, if you know how to put it to good use, your mere presence at a networking event and sincere interactions can fetch long-term rewards for your company.

Entrepreneurship requires Caring and Daring

Since my childhood, I had faith in the reasoning of being-on-time. I believed in being a perfectionist. I never missed school nor my school bus and was dependable on time.
The only thing which I always depended upon was TIME. I digested the hard fact TIME IS MONEY since the day I learned the functioning of the world.
I had this good habit of waking up early, then drawing out a plan for the day and getting set to work.
I believed in ‘Early to bed, Early to rise keeps a person healthy and wise,’ it was more than just a kindergarten rhyme to me.
It was important for me to have a discipline to follow because I certainly knew that if I wouldn’t have then somebody else’s discipline would be the thing to follow which I would despise.

When I began working on establishing my organization, I anticipated that my colleagues would acquire similar rationality.

I needed everybody to be on time and, ideally, even before the time they were due. At first, when my group was limited to a few people, I didn’t face many issues with people not showing up on time.
But slowly and gradually when the team grew the issue penetrated the working culture, and as a result, I used to get furious with those who didn’t show up on time.
It bothered me and made me feel awful to do so yet they generally conveyed a generous smile in return since they were enthusiastic, had faith in the organization and shared the same vision with which I started this company. So, we all were trying to achieve the same thing but in our own ways.
I am proud of the ethics which I inherited from my parents; they have always taught me to follow the passion but not at the cost of family time. I inculcated the same thing in my company’s work culture.
I used to get enraged, yet never needed them to work after the available time since family time is equally vital and I needed them to not bargain on that.
I regularly constrained them to close down their tablet and leave the workplace, regardless of the possibility that it was just around 5 minutes of additional time to finish the work.

Amid the early phases of my start-up, I was energized and energetic about everything may it be planned or increasing the staff.

But, within a year of aggressive work, I was drained out completely. My passion to achieve success somewhere incepted the plant of anger deep within me, and thus my energy was supplanted by anger.
Thankfully I realized it before it went out of control and decided to beat this. I changed a few propensities which got colossal thus changing my life as a business visionary.

1. It’s alright if the group come a few minutes late:
When your employees are faithful to their work and you, finishes their work on time, follows the deadlines and timelines, and accepts calls or communicates with your clients even on Sundays then YES, it is totally fine, regardless of the possibility that the colleague gets late.

Time is not a constraint until and unless your work is not hampered or delayed. There is no point of your employees being on time if they do not delay any procedures or work. At the point when there is a culture of obligation and responsibility to work, the elements like BEING-ON-TIME seems little.

2. A subtle smile- that’s all you need:
There was a time when my office work begun with this question “Who was late today?” but then I realized the inappropriateness of this question.

This question drove away all the morning excitement in my office, and as a result, I stopped doing this. I keep on saying this wherever I go that with time and experience I have not only evolved my way of doing business but also myself.
I am the “NEWER” version with each passing day. In the end, I changed this propensity. Presently I ensure that individuals around me smile and I even blurt some terrible jokes, on which even Siddhu Paaji wouldn’t snicker, yet my colleagues would enjoy every bit of it. “Smile away the blues” is, in fact, a reality.
It does not solve your problem but always helps you to find the solution. Presently, they are more than just employees. They are my companions more and resources to my company less. And trust me, I mean it.

3. It’s not a Game-Of-Thrones:
Of course, every GOT lover would not agree with the title but don’t worry it’s not that Throne I am talking about.

I am talking about the chair where bosses prefer to sit. We are a bunch of 3 crazy founders of EngineerBabu who never believe in acquiring the “HOT SEAT”.
All three organizers sit with the group, none of us sit on purported Boss’s Throne, which helps us in building a neighborly association with the fellow members in the room.
These seats are only utilized for meetings. In actuality, the “Royal position” is utilized by the assistants, partners and even the workplace kid according to their need.
4. Being successful doesn’t mean wearing all the fancy and exclusiveness:
During the initial days of EngineerBabu, we could pull off a great deal of money by cracking projects and finishing them winning our client’s trust.

I was born and brought up in a middle-class family and thus never got a chance to try out expensive things.
Once I started earning, I used to spend a great deal on extravagance. Like others, I wanted to wear an expensive range of garments and shoes, which is referred to as “BRANDED”.
Before long I understood that it is making a discernible difference between my colleagues and me.
I realized that this had created a line between my employees and me and I didn’t want that to affect the friendly work culture.
Thus, I pressed all costly garments, even stuffed my shoes, and returned to my regular dress-up.
This line soon vanished, and we were back being great companions. These little things make a huge difference. You won’t believe the difference until and unless you practice it yourself.
5. Presently I am lethargic; I rest more, eat progressively and reflect day by day:
Earlier I used to work like a machine, considerations about “how to take the organization to the next level,” “How to increase the value of my associate’s life?”, “How to make them free?” used to keep me involved without stopping for even a minute.
When you are new to this entrepreneur’s life, you try to do each and everything for everyone all at once, and this is quite natural. It’s the madness and passion that drives you to pull off such decisions simultaneously.
When you work insane, you anticipate that others will do likewise, however that is not going to happen, and at last you will feel pushed.
There was a time where I was so concerned that I could afford to miss my breakfast, lunch or potentially supper but never miss a customer’s call.
Be that as it may, now I consider time, reflect, and go for everyday strolls and therefore, I am more lively and loaded with satisfaction.
I have assigned the undertakings to my subordinates and given them full privileges. This helped me remain quiet, take better choices and focus on main problems.
6. Make communications and not just calls:
Let me elaborate on it. Working with our clients, I am constantly required to contact my employees in case of any requirements or help or to get follow-ups.
So, basically, I called them whenever I needed their help, nothing more – nothing less.
Suddenly at one point, I realized that there is a shrouded thought process behind my call and that business and work was all that I spoke.
I learned that occasionally it’s alright to talk something else (apart from your work) and spend extra time babbling with loved ones.
Work is never going to leave you and vice versa. With regards to saving a little time, turn off your wifi and enjoy every bit of this present reality around you.
It won’t only enhance your working capacity but fills you with new energy to work upon your thought process and make better decisions. The efficiency increases.
7. It’s about being social and not social media:
Everyone loves to kill their time over Facebook, don’t they? All you need to do is post some pictures, do some check-ins, post a status, leave comments and have fun.
But, is that the best you can do with such a powerful tool like Facebook? Even I used to do the same when I got my hands-on with Facebook for the first time.
I used to update about twice a day and kept updating my wall on a regular basis. I had this dependency thing. But later on, I realized, it is the experience and aptitudes which mattered not the selfies. Facebook is much more profitable when utilized in the correct way.
Individuals kill additional time in calculating the likes and approaching others for comments. We nowadays spend more time on clients since now we invest energy in conveying esteem and not on advertising.
8. Roles change, not people:
I began my vocation as a nerd. EngineerBabu needed me to administer deals, subsequently, I learned deals.
Things continued changing, contributions to my company continued changing, and now I am pleased to grab fancy names in our company’s portfolio. I believe that I began my vocation as a nerd.
EngineerBabu needed me to administer deals. Subsequently, I learned deals. Things continued changing, contributions to my company continued changing, and now I am pleased to grab fancy names in our company’s portfolio.
I believe that “Satisfaction is a myth, my dreams are way too big to get satisfied.”
Because that’s the thing that keeps us struggling and keeps us on toes. Next was development hacking, my organization needed me to be a good writer, and now I am pleased to be a contributor to some well-known online publishing media.
Same is the tale of My prime supporter “Aditi Chaurasia,” she began as an educator, later became a top women entrepreneur in India. She is one of the best website designers but then handles accounts at EngineerBabu. Thus, we have got numerous roles to play and have played it well.
Down the line, I don’t fancy unnecessarily about making and creating a major group of people and incubating them in my start-up.
I believe in taking baby steps I am content with the little group. I chose my clients wisely. My approach to growing business is not merely earning or making billion dollars just for myself, but I dream to fulfill the dreams of each and every person working with me.
The people who believe in my dream are the greatest assets of my company. I want to see a cheerful smile on my client’s face whenever I finish their work. I believe in delivering satisfaction and gaining trust. No one is impeccable nor was I.
We committed numerous errors and learned from them. We gained from different oversights and insights as well. We have grown together, and I want to continue this journey towards success in the same manner.
When everyone is happy, there is no possibility of anything going wrong. You have to trust your decisions. Your gut feeling has to play at the front-foot.

At EngineerBabu, we have talented professionals with solid domain expertise to help design and develop your “Dream Product” by visualizing your need. You can get in touch with us by now. We provide FREE consultation!

Best Tips to Get more Sales for your Startup

I was a geek when started my startup; soon I realized we could not sustain if there are not enough sales. I learned and made a million dollar dream, and many said you couldn’t. I tried, you didn’t. I am done, Have fun!

When you run a Startup, the success of that Startup is dependent on numbers in a bank account. Making sales is one thing and making sales out of profits is another thing. Getting those numbers is simple, It’s all about playing the right track and creating that mood with clients at the right time.

1. At my age other want to get married and have kids but I want my parents the backseat of my Audi

Have a big dream; Universe is a big genie, it always says your wish is my command. If you have a dream, sell your dreams and helps others to fulfill theirs.

You as a founder are quite convinced and love your product or service but, that is no justification that your customers would love your product too.

The psychology of a consumer is that he is going to buy your product or even think of buying your product when he’ll feel the necessity for the same. Identify the right customer for your product, don’t cheat, be honest.

2. People reject what they don’t understand

When you are new to this field, and you start to have inquiries related to your services, you focus on grabbing more and more clients. But, You cannot afford to make mistakes. This is the time where you have to focus on building trust and not just the clients.

Whenever there is an inquiry, just study the requirements first. Get to know more about what the client wants and how does he wants. Don’t jump straight towards making a quotation and sending it over to your client.
You have first to be very sure about your end; that would you be able to fulfill the client’s requirements? Would you be able to make provisions for the resources and everything needed to execute the project? If you are sure about it, then ask your client first about the budget. Because it might happen that you pitch a budget which is too low or too high and you might lose the client.

3. Silence is better than bullshit; Deliver quality and not quantity

A product can sustain the quality it delivers no matter how many features it delivers. If there is one product that has only ten features and delivers the quality, and another product which has 20 features but is poor in quality, the first product will always win and make wonderful sales. If your product is not promising, you can’t make a good name for your company.

 4. Support is the language the blind can see and deaf can hear

Now, you have made good sales, earned the trust of your customers. So, now what? Now, comes the point where your product is in use, and there will be problems or difficulties that your customers might be facing while using your service or product.

You have to make sure that you stand by them when they need you the most. It is very important to make them realize and feel that you were not just a mere stereotypical salesman who sold some shit to them, but rather a guy who sold something that was worth their money and hope.
When they need your help, don’t make them wait, set quick and easy support. You can have WhatsApp or ticketing system to provide easy support.

5. Money never sleeps; Ask for a referral

80% of people never ask for a referral. It is good practice always to ask for referrals because when people don’t know your product, but they know someone who uses it and whom they trust and believe in, they might come to you. It is the easiest way to crack great good deals.

 6. Write like a human being; People hate templates

The proposal must be one-to-one. Robotic content is always dry. It lacks that spirit and responsibility to it.

Your writing will reflect how well have you digested their requirements and their wants. There are supposed to be creative sequences in your way of presenting. It must be crisp, straight and to-the-point.

7. Sales are like a marriage; people do it with whom they trust

Well, when you sell your product, do it with emotions and feelings. The sale is a maneuver; it has a series of skilled movements entwined into it.

When you promise to do something to your customer, deliver that, If something is not working, the sooner you’ll get honest with this fact with your clients, the more trustworthy will your relationship will be.

Many startups around the world face common “StartUp” problems and challenges, and most of them are dead within the first year of inception.
When I faced trouble I solved it in three ways:-

  • Focus on Customers
  • Serve your employees
  • Learn from the competitors

1. Focus on Customers

The thing that I hate most is, everybody talking about investors. They take them in number one priority whereas customers should be the priority. Clients are the one who gives you money, innovation, and happiness.

When I faced trouble in my work, my clients and friends were the one to tell; “Hey, Mayank keeps going. You are doing a great thing. You can’t die just like that”. “When an investor is in your mind, you only focus on revenue generation, transaction, and how can you take next level of investment ahead.
I hardly found that it’s hard to turn your investor into a customer.  In my view,  I don’t believe Mr. Pierce Brosnan ate Pan Bahar ever the cricket God Tendulkar or people’s favourite Kohli must have driven that bike or car. It’s difficult to believe that superstar Amitabh Bachchan uses Navratan oil.  Your customer is always there with you. They give you money, hope, and most importantly support.  Make a habit to measure client satisfaction. This will help you in discovering your short-coming.

2. Serve your Employees

Your employee and your team make the most of the difference in your life. It’s your team that turns your dream into reality. Innovation takes place when you listen to your employees. Ideas flourish when you solve their problem and look after their family problem to some extent as well. Doing this will make them feel as if it’s their business not only your company. They will love to accompany you and feel glad to work along with you. When you start believing your team, you will see a rise in their performance. They will love to work for you.
What I learned:
“Try to find right people, not the best people”

Why we are Successful:
•    We don’t have an MBA, IITs or any high experience people
•    We are not smart enough, and I could not crack IIT
•    We are not hard working; Rickshaw wala does more hard work than us
We are successful as we have the dream with us – A dream to do something great.  We have hope within us to achieve anything we dream.
Fashion-Show-EngineerBabu
All the employees who came from big industries to work with us have left.  They left us as they could only be team leaders, persons who could only drive the process, not passion.
Remember one thing in life: When you are small, hire people, not talent as the appointed person is there to share his dream, not just to work with you.
When you recruit, you don’t need best people with great academics and professional qualifications but the people with right attitude and spirit to learn. This is one key to our success.
It is important for you to have a team that has updated skills to handle their responsibilities more effectively.
Do not shy away from on-the-company training sessions for your employees. This will enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of your business. What’s more, these training sessions will increase your employees’ level of commitment to the company.
On the same note, it will not break a bone if you too attend short courses to upgrade your business skills. There are many free online courses for business owners and managers, which you can choose to attend with your convenience.

3. Learn from the Competitors

You should always love your competitors, and learn from them. To grow fast, you should have competitors. Respect them and learn as much as you can. Your competitors are the best research laboratory for you. Instead of copying, you should try to learn from them.
I love and admire my competitors because every time I look at them, I feel good. They aren’t there for fighting. For instance, the models, why they are successful, have you ever thought?
The most interesting part of the business is competition. But it should be a healthy one. When you find your competitors using the money to compete with you, they start losing your faith.
Business is all about wisdom, hope, and courage. Last but not least, never let your dream die.
